JOIN ANY TIME DURING THE YEAR !!!!!!
FORMAT: 18 hole stroke play. Golfers are placed into
one flight according to handicap and will remain in that flight
for all tournaments unless deemed otherwise by the tour director.
Only gross score is counted.
Flights are as Follows:
Championship Flight: Handicap 0-5.0
"A" Flight: Handicap 6.0-10.0
"B" Flight: Handicap 11.0-15.0
"C" Flight: Handicap 16.0-21.0
Eligibility: The USAGT provides competition to golfers
of equivalent skill level who are active members of the USAGT.
The tour begins on Feb. 3rd and runs through November 14th,
2007.
Membership: The average cost of a tour membership
is $135 per season, but it varies by region. Membership entitles
you to play in any USAGT event in the Country. Members will
receive tour merchandise and sponsors gifts for joining. Scores
will be posted on the web page & local newspapers.
USAGT Rules: Play will be governed by USGA Rules of
Golf. Personal appearance of all USAGT competitors must be
neat with respect to clothing and personal grooming. Proper
golf etiquette is required at all times. Maintaining a good
pace of play to avoid stroke penalties.
Prizes: The top three finishers in each flight receive
merchandise or gift certificates. Prizes are funded from player
entry fees, with the total purse depending on the number of
players at each tournament.
Points: Points are awarded at each tournament based
on how you placed. How the points system works will be explained
after you join the tour.
Finals: A local and Tour Championship will be held
for the top USAGT players in each of the four flights. To
be eligible for the local finals you must finish the season
in the top 25 in overall points. The regional final will be
played by those members who are in the top 10 in overall points.
Fees: Due to tee time reservations policies of USAGT
host clubs, all entry fees must be received by at least 8
days prior to the date of the upcoming tournament.
