Located in Beaverton, Oregon, Nike Golf designs and markets
golf equipment, apparel, balls, footwear, bags and accessories
worldwide. Nike Golf is passionately dedicated to honoring
and respecting the traditions and heritage of the game, and
to providing committed golfers with the absolute best equipment
in the game.
Nike Golf's mission has always been to provide a competitive
edge, to help golf players perform better. Nike Golf climbs
inside the players' mind. They feel every beat of the players'
heart. They flex, bend, twist and torque every inch of players'
sinew and muscle, especially Tiger Woods.
With his final victory at the 2001 Masters, Tiger Woods achieved
the single greatest accomplishment in the history of modern
golf-winning all four major titles at the same time. Simultaneously,
Nike Golf signed David Duval, the only other player to hold
the worlds #1 ranking in the past four years. With the
support of these prodigious players added to their own technological
expertise, Nike Golf was swiftly becoming the golf technology
and apparel leader of the future.
For his 50th PGA Tour title, Woods produced massive drives
on the Warwick Hills Golf and Country Club course using his
Nike SasQuatch Tour Driver. The award-winning SasQuatch is
known for having the highest Moment of Inertia (MOI) in golf,
a visually distinctive yellow sole design and lower center
of gravity. With the winning combination of the SasQuatch
Driver and Nike One Platinum ball, Woods averaged 316 yards
off the tee and ranked first in driving distance.
Accompanying his SasQuatch and Nike Blades in his bag
were his Ignite Fairway Woods, the T60 and T40 and his 56
and 60-degree Nike wedges. Woods also wore his own line
of Nike Golf apparel from the Tiger Woods Collection, SP 7
TW Nike Golf footwear and the Dri-FIT Tour Glove.
Today Nike Golf signs top pros as well as up-and-coming phenoms
while also introducing innovative performance products. This
commitment to the game is evident in a brand momentum that
continues to build.
Nike Golf Equipment And Merchandise
-
SASQUATCH 460 - Through the power of geometry
and Max Back Center of Gravity (CG) technology, Nike Golf
has been able to achieve a lower, deeper CG without the
use of weights. With its CG set back, low and deep, the
SasQuatch is a highly engineered, streamlined instrument
of size, power and forgiveness. By way of Max Back CG,
geometry teams up with physics to create three advantages.
-
Slingshot Tour Iron - Co-developed with assistance
from several Nike Golf sponsored PGA Tour staff members.
These irons are perfect for players that prefer a classic
profile packed with modern technology. While these clubs
still achieve Air CG via the lightweight/milled Carpenter
Custom 455 face, the Slingback design is not visible at
address. This shallower Slingback design, along with minimal
offset, allow fro more shot-shaping creativity.
-
Forged Blade Irons - Nike's first set of irons,
made under the supervision of master clubmaker Tom Stites,
utilizes the superior two-step forging process to create
the highest level of performance and consistency the world's
best players demand. Meticulously crafted and tour-tested,
Nike's Forged Blade Irons provide performance and consistency,
shot after shot.
NDS Irons - An all-around iron for an all-around
player. Progressive offset and wider sole help the mid-handicapper
get the ball in the air quicker and fly straighter to
take their game to the next level.
-
OZ Black T160 Putter - a break from tradition
with its modified mallet design that will have you in
the bottom of the cup all season long. It's unique double
bend steel shaft counterbalances your stroke to prevent
opening or closing the clubface during the putting stroke,
resulting in straighter, truer putts.
- Titleist Pro V1x - The Titleist ProV1® and
ProV1x golf balls account for more wins on the worldwide
tours than all other golf balls combined. While longer for
most accomplished players, the Titleist Pro V1x golf ball
is most suited for high speed, high spin players. The Pro
V1x golf ball delivers Tour-proven performance with longer
distance via slightly lower spin off of the driver, as well
as lower spin on full iron and wedge shots for improved
greenside control.
