World class beaches will be found in the St. Petersburg
/Clearwater area with over 35 miles of white sand and
two of the top ten beaches in the world. The Tampa
Bay Devil Rays make Tropicana Field, in Downtown St. Petersburg,
their home.
Largo is located on Florida's Gulf Coast, just south
of Clearwater and north of St. Petersburg in sunny Pinellas
County. Largo is known as the "City of Progress",
a place where respect and honor of our past is the main focus.
Largo has The Gulf Coast Museum Of Art, Florida
Botanical Gardens, and The Pinellas County Historical Museum
for entertainment. St Petersburg is home of the Honda
Grand Prix Of St Petersburg and the world famous St
Petersburg Pier. Clearwater Beach claims one of the
best rated beaches in the world with para-sailing and Shephard's
Beach Resort.
Golfers pour in non-stop, so there is no true "off-season"
in the Tri-City area, but some seasons are not so crowded
as others (November). The beautiful climate in west-central
Florida is near perfect year round, and and many golf courses
ensure a playable course for all. Pinellas County is loaded
with great courses from the Gulf Coast to Tampa Bay.
Clearwater and St. Petersburg host several Major Leauge
Baseball Spring Training Camps. In St. Pete you can check
out a Devil Rays game at Florida Power Park / Al Lang Field.
In Clearwater there is the Philadelphia Phillies at Brighthouse
Networks Field.
The City of Clearwater hosts a major regional jazz
festival that draws tens of thousands of visitors every year.
